Projection K Zone
Making Training Fun
Projection K Zone is an all inclusive simulation system designed to help pitchers train in realistic situations. Projection K Zone board is a 6' x 6' training tool that we project images onto. The board itself is made from 3/8" ABS plastic, a layer of foam, and an additional sheet of plastic, all attached to a steel frame.
Every coach knows that the hardest thing to simulate in practice is game intensity and the effect that adrenaline and crowds will have on an athlete. Projection K Zone was designed to make practice as much like a real game as possible.
We didn’t forget that the game is supposed to be fun. While training isn’t always fun, creating games and adding competition helps make it fun.
We start with projecting images of a batter and a catcher, so bullpen sessions are no longer just thrown into a net. It also helps to save the knees of catchers and fathers having to catch every bullpen. Then we record all of the information, making every pitch matter.
We've now adding simulated game software, so you can play against your friends, just have fun, or just work on game situations.
Baseball Projection Image
The batter is a stagnant image andthe catcher moves to each zone requested.
Softball Projection Image
We're working with Winthrop University Coaches Mark Cooke and Dan Parks to develop the softball projection images and the softball video game. We've already added 3 higher zones for the Riseball and pitch out zones for practicing with runners on base.
